Peru Tote: The El Dorado

Peru Tote: The El Dorado

Woven golden wool and a yellow gold leather accent adorn this bag and handles. Named after the legendary lost city of gold, El Dorado!

This is a very special one-of-a-kind handmade bag cut from the finest eco-friendly leather available and wrapped in pure wool textiles hand-stitched by Peruvian women.

Throughout the photos you can see Linny along with her mom and sister learning about the craft of dying the wool (the totally natural dyes are made from berries, fruits, potatoes, leaves, twigs, bug blood and plants), turning the wool into string (not easy!) and patiently weaving each cinta packed full of tales and meaning from their land.

Working in collaboration with these incredible artists is a gift. Peru is a place filled with craft, music, fantastic food, ancient history, and open hearts. By traveling to Peru and picking out her favorite textiles, Linny wants to bring a part of this magical place to you by combining her craft with theirs.

This bag has been tried and tested and it is as strong as it is beautiful. Measuring 12 (L) X 7 (W) X 14.5 (H) it is a nice large bag, perfect for toting around groceries or pretty much anything else you feel like toting! It's a great everyday bag for those on the go.
